Speaking my own Language

Just what does this mean?  Well, about two years ago I was thinking about this game idea that I had.  It only makes sense, since I am attending school to learn game design.  Anyway, one night two years ago, I drempt about the game.  In my dream, there was this language that the characters spoke.  When I woke up, I thought it would be cool to have my own language.  So, recently I began working on the language.  I’m calling it Nevian for now, unless I decide to change it later.  As I complete more and more  of the language, I will post my content online for people to view, learn, and discuss.  This way people can learn my language and speak it with their friends way before I’m even in the video game industry.

Notebook of my Dreams

After a long, long time of looking for a new laptop that features everything I want, I come across this beauty: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115475

For about 8 months, I have been looking for a great-priced laptop with these features:

– Featured at least a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo

– GPU capable of gaming(maybe even Crysis capable)

– GPU also capable of 1080p Blu-Ray playback

– Blu-Ray Drive of course

– At least 17″ Screen

– 4GB RAM

 

Well, I have found the notebook with all of these things. The screen is even 18″, more than what I wanted. Cool! Here are some other features that I did not expect to get, but make this deal even more awesome:

– HDMI

– Finger reader

– Media Controls(built-in next to the keyboard instead of on it.)

– Bluetooth

– CPU has 6MB L2

– Webcam

– Surround Sound( I think) Man! This baby is mine!

Sitting Outside!

Hum.  I was at the library for a couple of hours today, just surfing the web.  Then about 1 hour before closing I noticed that Nvidia has released thier GeForce Power Pack with PhysX.  So, I beging downloading it, but the connection is slow today for some reason.  Right now I’m sitting outside because the library is closed and I still have one more file which should be complete in about 12 minutes.  I wish I had noticed the Nvidia thing sooner.

No more work until Saturday, so that’s good.  It gives me a chance to get all of my junk done for school.  The new semester is not very far away.

Random # 001

Just randomness

Busy Day

I woke up around 6am EST this morning with a lot of stuff to get done.  When I got up, I finished putting together the PC I’m selling.  I added the power supply, installed Windows XP Pro, installed all of the Nvidia drivers, and then game the machine a good wipe down to get it all nice and shiny for it’s new owner.  The next thing on my list of stuff to do was to contact Human Resources for the place I work to make sure my request for my W2 reprint was successfully submited.  It was.  Then I strolled down to my place of employment to pick up my paycheck and then it was off to the bank.  Took care of business there, and then sent payment to the shipper who is coming to pickup the PC from me.  Up next, I called my school to make sure that all of my info was in place for my return to the University of Baltimore for the Fall 2008 semester. That didn’t take long at all.  After that I grabbed my laptop and set a course for the library so I could go online.  I got there and to my surprise their air is broken, so it’s pretty hot in here.  About an hour ago they lost power for about 10mins, but it’s back on now.  Still no air though.  AND here I sit, surfing the web with all business taken care of for now.
